I drew the main six ponies from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (MLP FiM) from the side in a previous deviant so this is the front sketch. I had a little extra space so I did the Cutie Mark Crusaders afterwards.
You mean use this to create something derivative? Sure! Go for it. Technically, these are just sketches from the show so you really don't even need to credit me if you don't want, though I wouldn't mind if you wanted to. Send me a link when you're done. I'd love to see it

Great! Some questions and critique - QUESTIONS --- About how long did it take you to do one character? What pencils did you use? (it doesnt need to be exact) How did you get the hair effect thingy? (like on Rarity for example) Favourite PONEH?
CRITIQUE --- Very good sketches (I NEED TO LEARN HOW YOU DO THESE)! Perfect shading use, using fillies AND mares, proportions excellent! The only things I can think WRONG are - Rainbow's upper mane goes down at a slightly wrong angle (but who cares?!), Rainbow's lower mane a bit to small (meh) Sweetie Belle's upper mane goes down at a quite wrong angle (still, meh) Twilight's got a big hind leg. (this is quite important).
Still, you shouldn't worry about this kind of stuff. Your art is AMAZING. They look even more original than the original Lauren Faust! If you really do want to make an absolutely celestiadamn PERFECT sketch, then redraw this, trying to avoid the small mistakes I pointed out, and reupload it. I'm not forcing you or anything, just suggesting. Just to give you motivation to do more, I'm giving you a watch.
Questions: How long? Probably a few minutes. I use a .5 mm mechanical pencil to draw with because it's cheap, found everywhere and works well. Hair effect? If you mean the shading, that's just drawing harder or lighter with the pencil Fav pony? Luna/Twilight of course followed closely by Derpy
Critique: Yes, they're definitely off in several ways. Considering that these were my first pony drawings, I've learned a lot since then.
I hadn't considered uploading a newer version since I want people to see the rough beginnings so they can see that they too can improve. But it might be nice to do so to show the progression from then to now. Thanks for the suggestion!
