Halloweentown Keyblade by Nimaru Halloweentown Keyblade by Nimaru
So my daughter really wanted to go to the convention dressed as Halloweentown Sora. I'll post pics of her full costume a little later, but it's just some hodgepodge pieces of clothes and excessive buckles to match the general style of Kingdom Hearts.

What I'm really proud of are the two main props: the keyblad and mask (both made by me).

I did everything from the design to the wood carving, the painting, details, sculpting etc. My neighbor is a skilled wood-worker and helped me select some of the materials and figure out how to properly align some of the cuts on the main dowel, but I (other than borrowing his shop) I did the actual carving and assembly.

She thinks it's awesome and as if she ever outgrows it, it's mine :)

Not for these sadly :)

I used a neighbor's woodshop, but I don't live anywhere near him anymore.

I am forever jealous, though honestly I would prefer the Kingdom Key, for the classics.

I'm not actually sure how much the various parts cost. Probably less than $50 all together.

AHAHAHA-WHAT-HAHA-IS--THAT!? xD

And I thought the Gunblade was ridiculous! xD

I'm sorry but, illogical weapons like this always give me a good laugh. It's just so crazy,it's a hand-axe taped onto the edge of an some sword!

Keyblade. They're all supposed to look like keys and their particular style matches the given world that the main character is on at the moment. You should check Kingdom Hearts out. It's a great game!

Ehh...I have checked out the KH games...not my cup of tea. Though you do have to admit, that thing must be extremely unbalanced, so unwieldy! I cant imagine how well that would be applied to real life, someone attaching an AXE to the end of a broad sword...be bloody hilarious though, I'll give it that. P:

Obviously, you havent seen the Kingdom Key. This is at least a pointy thing tied to the edge of a pole

I have...it isn't even a sword or sharp...It's just a pole dressed up as a key. Might as well be a spiked metal club. P:

There's also the Keyblade you get from Winnie the Pooh's world in Kingdom hearts 2 couldn't be considering sharp by any means. Its got a beehive on the end of the keyblade.

HOW?! HOW IS THAT A WEAPON!? Does it shoot bees as well!? xD
Reply
:iconbladebrent:
Bladebrent Featured By Owner Mar 23, 2013
no, but it makes it more likely for enemies to drop materials so you can make a GOOD weapon

:iconholhander:

So...you taught the bees how to pickpocket!? HOW DOES THAT WORK!? xD

And what kind of weapons are we talking about? Do they just get progressively better then the stick with a beehive on it, like "Melon on a Stick","Shark on a Stick" and the legendary "Stick on a Stick".

Yes I'm kinda taking the piss here...but with how things have been going...I wouldn't doubt that these "weapons" already exists...P:

My god, imagine what Sora could do if he had a "stick on a stick"! That probably be stronger than even the Monochrome Keyblade (which is basically a steamboat Pipe), or the Decisive Pumpkin (A candy cane), or maybe even the Fenrir (A huge sword. The only thing you probably wouldn't laugh at)

No chance of that sadly. This took many hours of work and many different kinds of supplies. Sure the second one would be easier, but I also had to borrow my neighbor's shop to do it. I doubt he'd be cool with me using it THAT much even if I felt the energy to make more.
